I recently did the cover to the Pittsburgh City Paper. Just thought it might be interesting to show the rough and final illustration.

Blog writing take II: I introduce Little Jimmy Tucker

Hey comics friends! There have been an increasing number of blogs that I am reading so I figured I may as well get with the times and contribute to one of these myself. Like most blogs, The plan is to regularly jot stuff down as often as possible and to include some cool illustrations and stuff that won't make it to my website, print or anywhere else.

So here goes...

My girlfriend, Sarah, wrote a great script that I am going to adapt into a comic. It goes without being said but visually I want all of the main characters to have very distinct looks and I'm following the old cartooning adage that "The most successful cartoon characters have unique silhouettes that make them easily identifiable at a seconds glance.
I don't think that this little, unfortunate bastard will be mistaken for any other characters.
